摘要: Advances in information and communications technologies have fueled a plethora of innovations in networking, caching, and computing. In the area of networking, software-defined networking (SDN) has attracted great interests from both academia and industry. Another new technology called information-centric networking (ICN) has been extensively studied in recent years. ICN-based caching has been recognized as one of the promising techniques for future wireless/wired networks. At the front of computing, cloud computing paradigm has been widely adopted to enable convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources. In addition, fog/edge computing has been proposed to deploy computing resources closer to end devices. In this talk, we will present a novel framework that jointly considers networking, caching and computing techniques in order to improve the end-to-end system performance. This integrated framework can enable dynamic orchestration of networking, caching and computing resources to meet the requirements of different applications.

附主讲人简介:

F. Richard Yu2003年在加拿大英属哥伦比亚大学获得博士学位。从2002年到2004年,在瑞典爱立信总部工作。从2005年到2006年,在美国加州从事高级无线系统研发工作。2006年开始任职于加拿大卡尔顿大学,博士生导师。2012年入选中组部千人计划和北京市海聚工程。出版专著4 部,合著专著13 部,已授权专利27项,在国际上重要的期刊、杂志和会议上发表了180 多篇SCI 检索的论文、300 余篇EI 检索的论文。工作被全球同行广泛引用(8000多次GoogleScholar引用;H-index50)。多次受到IEEE,加拿大国家、省、校的奖励。担任多个国际核心期刊编委,包括IEEE Trans. Veh. Tech.(IF: 2.6) (互联车辆系列首席编辑), J. Sel. Areas Comm. (IF: 4.1) (绿色系列编辑),Comm. Surveys&Tutorials(IF: 9.2) (编辑), Ad Hoc&Sensor Wireless Networks(联合主编) 等。IET FellowIEEEVeh. Tech. Society 理事会理事,IEEE绿色通信与计算技术委员会主席。
